Growing Up

It's not long before Molly starts to feel unwell.
Which turns out to be because she is finally pregnant!

John doesn't get to spend much time at home though, as he is on-call most nights, and to be honest he is glad of the work. With Molly now on maternity leave they need all the money they can spare.

With not much happening, at the moment it wasn't long before Molly was as big as a house and due to drop at any time!

Though that didn't stop her doing what she loved to do the most..... dance!

Though maybe she should have taken it a little easier, as it wasn't long before she went in to labour.

She told John to go back to sleep, as he had just pulled a double shift at the hospital.
So she called a cab herself and headed to the hospital herself.

Several hours later and Molly returns home with the newest addition to the family.
Meet baby and possible heir, Rose.

With the basics in place, John started work on making the house more livable and to move out of the temporary living spaces they were currently in.
So, John made a start on the master bedroom and en-suite.

Molly had a small transformation also. She knew she was going to be an elder any day now, and she wanted to make sure she had a picture of herself looking a little better that what she did before moving in with John.

Being a slob, Molly really hates doing housework. She made a mental note to hire a housekeeper as soon as they could afford to.

A few minutes later and Molly begins cheering, trying to get everyone's attention.

A couple of seconds later and flashy beams of light begin to spore from Molly's body.

And just like magic, Molly's hair turns grey and her skin becomes wrinkly.
She is officially an elder.

Molly spends the rest of her maternity leave working on her painting skills.

Meanwhile on the other side of town, John also experiences the flashy lights.

Though he doesn't really feel any different. He might be a couple of inches taller though.

John's constant updates to the house means that it won't be long until it is finished.
Now they have installed a kitchen, built a little extra on to the master bedroom, to make way for a dressing room, plus an additional toilet, for guests. And finally they have added a reading room.

And with John's promotions coming in thick and fast, it won't be long until their house is finished completely.

Marriage on the Rocks?

Another birthday rolled around, this time for Rose.
It only felt like a few days had passed since she was born!

Now she was a toddler.

Eager to give Rose a good start in life, she began to teach her to talk.
The first thing she taught her about whilst teaching her to talk was love, being the hopeless romantic that she is.

John is not impressed by Sandi's dance moves.

The en-suite is finally installed in the master bedroom.
No more queueing for the bathroom!

John and Molly enjoy some alone time [ewww].

Even though she is old, grey and has a weird shaped face he still finds her very attractive.
It had been a long time since they last woo-hoo'd, so John was getting desperate for some loving.

However, Molly refused him, just like she did before she moved in.
Could Molly be falling out of love with John?
How will John satisfy his needs?
Will he cheat on her?

Make Overs

After John's promotion, it was decided to spend the money on painting and decorating the house.
They started with the master bedroom. After managing to find wallpaper that matched the bedsheets and laying down a carpet, they also put in a couple of windows to let the natural light in.

Then they added a breakfast bar and small round table to the kitchen area, along with a few windows, so they could enjoy the view.

Then they added a couple of sofa's in the reading room.

The house was really taking shape now, and was starting to look more like a home, rather than some kind of mess.

A few days later and they could afford to decorate the rest of the house too.
They decided on a lovely deep red for the main bodies of the house.

Finally Rose was given a proper little girl's room also.
Along with a decent bath and decorated bathroom.

Sandi's room was also painted, in the style that she wanted.
Along with the reading room getting a makeover so that it was all matched up.

Time was really flying by.
Today was Sandi's last day of school. It only seemed like yesterday that John met her and her mother at the library that day, when Sandi was just a toddler.

When Sandi returned home from school, with excellant grades she was surprised to find a birthday cake with her name on it.

A brilliant white flash beamed from Sandi's body as she came of age.

Though when she aged, she didn't feel much difference, nor did she look any different.
As a birthday present from her Mother and John, she went in to town for a make over!

Well, well, well, look who's shown up, it's River!
Could John be trying to get close to her again for when the inevitable happens when Molly dies?

Later that evening, John finishes off decorating by adding tiles to the en-suite bathroom, painting the dressing room, decorating the guest toilet and turning that extra little room in to a very small skills room.

Whilst Rose sleeps in her newly painted bedroom, complete with a lovely picture handcrafted by her mother.

Meanwhile, Sandi returns home from getting a make over!

And she picks her lifetime wish, to be a rock star!
That explains the new look then.

Her mother wasn't very happy with her new look though, and she tried to get John to have a word with her, but John told Molly that he thought Sandi looked great, much better than the plain Jane she used to be!
Sandi laughed, as she knew John would be on her side, he was closer to her age than her mother's afterall. He would understand!

Sandi decides it's time to start looking for Mr. Right. Though I don't think the housekeeper is that person. Especially as he is a neat freak and Sandi is a slob!

John's house is almost complete now, with just a bit more brickwork to be added on to the outside!

With such a great view, John will never want to leave this place.
Though an extension or two might be needed a little more down the line, nothing else needs to be done to the house at the moment.

Molly still loves to dance, though she won't be able to pull off those kind of moves anymore, she still gives it a good try.

The Heir Grows Up

John tries to keep uo to date with his skills on his days off.
Most of the time he can fix and upgrade things without any problems.

Other times though, he isn't quite as successful.

It wasn't long before his little miss was due for a birthday.
She really was the apple of his eye, even though he didn't get to spend as much time with her as he wanted to.

As predicted, Rose turned in to a pretty young child.
She was definately her father's daughter.

Especially with those big bright green eyes.

Her room wasn't changed much, they didn't need to buy a bed as they had the one that Sandi used to have before she got a new double bed, they just changed the bedding to fit in with the room.

Molly also gets a slight make-over to reflect her aging years.

Sandi often felt isolated from the rest of the family, as she wasn't a true Gallifrey-ian, she would spend hours at night time practicing her guitar skills, hoping one day to be an amazing rock star.

Sometimes when Sandi was practicing at night, John would come out of his room saying there was an emergency at the hospital and that he had been called in. Most of the times it was true, but Sandi was suspicious when he would go out, late at night and not be wearing his work clothes.
She was right to be suspicious too, for he was calling around his boss' house, and not for work.

It all started out innocently enough, but John just had to go and ask if she was single.
He just couldn't help himself.
His wife was getting older and frailer by the day, maybe this was his way of coping with the inevitable.
Still it was wrong, he was still a married man, no matter what.

One thing led to another.....

And they kissed.

But being the 'gentleman' that he was, he realised she was tired, so he whispered in her ear saying he would let her get to bed, and that he would see her at work the following day.

Stay tuned for the next instalment.
