The Legacy Challenge:
The Gallifrey Family

Meet John Gallifrey, our founder. He mysteriously appeared from nowhere to begin his own legacy in Sunset Valley.
Some people believe that he is from another planet. Whatever you choose to believe is up to you, but I can tell you, life won't be very easy for him.
In Sunset Valley, it was said that if you laid a claim to a plot of land, then it was yours to keep, but you had to stay there for the rest of yours and your decendants lives.
So with little to nothing money (§1300 to be exact), John began his new journey.
As you can see he is a Frugal, Workaholic Bookworm who is a Friendly Computer Whiz.
He got really lucky with the random trait chooser!
He was lucky that his land was a beauty spot, and surprised that no-one had taken it already, with that in mind he bought the best bed that he could afford with a couple of hundred § left over for emergancies and to pay bills. As he discovered that he could use the generousity from the owners of the community lots to eat, shower and use bathroom facilities.

With John's lifetime wish to become a world renowned surgeon he heads over to the local hospital to get a job.

Successful in his quest, he decides to head over to the library in the hope of meeting some new people and to read a book or two, or maybe even meet the future Mrs. Gallifrey.

John gets chatting to a rather retro '50's looking lady who goes by the name of Agnes. After a little digging it turns out she is far too rich for John to even contemplate getting to know on a romantic level.

So next John starts talking to Morganna, who turns out to be his boss.
Once again, she is far too rich for John, plus she is married with children, and John isn't the home-wrecking kinda guy. Still it didn't hurt for him to chat with Morganna for a while.

John decides it must be third time lucky when he spots a rather unmissable lady from across the room.
However, once again, she is a married-with-children-and-lottsa-money kinda lady.
Oh well John, at least you have made a few aquaintances.

John heads off to the park after a long day of job hunting, reading and meeting new people.
He may have not had any luck meeting a future mate, but he lucked out at the park where he found a perfectly cooked hamburger just laying on the floor.
After a quick scout around to make sure no-one was watching him, he cooly picked it up and sat down at the nearest table to feast upon his delishious find.

John decides it's time to head home, or at least to the land he owns as that is where his bed was.
He came to the conclusion that life wasn't so bad. He had an amazing piece of land in a beautiful location. And he rather enjoyed living in the open spaces........ for now.
Yep, life was good!

The Dating Game

The following morning, John heads off to the local Gym, with books on his mind.

Where he makes good use of the facilities and grabs some breakfast.

Before he heads off for his first day at work.

After a hard day at work, John decides to head over to the library to get some studying done.
However, not long in to his reading and a pretty face catches his attention.

John puts down his book and goes over to introduce himself.
He discovers that Molly is a single Mum to toddler, Sandi.
He was delighted when he finds that she is single, and after a little more probing he discovers that she is not rich.
A potential mate, he thinks to himself!

After just an hour of chatting, John finds out that Molly is a hopeless romantic, which means, she will succumb to his advances quicker than someone who is not.
It looks like John is on to a winner here.

It wasn't long before John was flirting successfully with Molly.

However, after just two hours of chatting and flirting, Molly was becoming tired, as John didn't want her collapsing, he decided to just ask her to be his girlfriend, before letting her go home to sleep.
He was thrilled when she said yes!

John too, headed home. As he stood at the edge of the mountain upon which his land was located he had a warm fuzzy feeling inside. He was falling in love.
Standing there watching the stars twinkle, he truely felt on top of the world.

Money Worries and Dating Hiccups

The following day Jack pays a visit to Molly and after dancing for a while, they share a sweet kiss.

Jack tells Molly all about his recent promotion, which she is delighted to hear.
Maybe she is thinking he could be a good provider for herself, daughter and future children.

She shows Jack how proud she is of his promotion with a long steamy kiss.

Jack helped himself to a bowl of cereal.
The good thing about having a girlfriend is not having to go to the gym to eat when one doesn't own a fridge.
However, it was getting late and Jack decided to go home.

Arriving home, Jack found that the postlady had brought him some mail!
He was slightly deflated though when it turned out to be a §10 bill

After paying off his bill, he built a few walls around his bed.

The following day after work, Jack was going to go around to see Molly, but she wasn't home, so he went to the library for a while to catch up on some studying.

Still worried about his lack of funds, Jack takes advantage of his frugal trait, and cuts out the daily coupon from the newspaper.
That should come in handy, he thinks, as he discovers it is a coupon for a §20 off a quick massage at the local spa.

A couple more days pass and Jack is finally able to afford a fridge.
That evening after work, Jack is very stressed out, so he decides to use his coupon, now he has §30 to spare and can afford the massage with the coupon.

After that he heads over to see Molly again.
It was getting late, so Jack asked Molly if he could stay over, which she agreed to.
Tonight could be Jack's lucky night!
At least that was what he thought, when Jack asked Molly to go a step further, she refused him, and seemed upset that he would even ask!

The following morning, as he is going in to the bathroom, Molly's room mate's daughter is just coming out of the bathroom.
After introducing himself, they get chatting for a while, and he discovers that River is also a hopeless romantic.
It wasn't long before he is asking her if she is single!
Could Jack be dumping Molly because she won't sleep with him?
And could he be focusing his attentions on a younger model?

Stay tuned for the next instalment.

Sealing the Deal

After a long hard think about what he wanted from life and who he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, Jack finally made up his mind.
Would he choose Molly? The woman he had been romancing more or less since he came to Sunset Valley? Or would he go down the logic route and pick the younger model, River?
Whichever he was going to choose, it would have to wait until later, for now he had a rare day off work, and wanted to spend it wisely.

Jack had wished to visit the cemetary for a while now, but he never had the time to spare until today. And what good timing too, he found a few gem stones. Making sure no-one was watching him, he pocketed as many as he could find.

He then ventured in to the catacombs, and after spending several hours in there, he came out looking a little worst for ware, though by judging from this picture, he looks please to have found a seed.

After taking a quick shower, Jack calls Molly and asks her to stay the night.
After trying to woo-hoo her again, she refuses, though she doesn't mind sharing a bed with him.
I'll try one last time, in the morning, he thinks to himself.

The following morning, Jack makes his move on Molly again, thinking this is the time he will bother, before giving in and turning to River.

However, this time, Molly says yes.
She must have known that if she kept saying no then he would get rid of her!.

A few days later and Jack has bought a couple of counters and a microwave, along with a chess board.

As the moon sunk in to the mountains, a few days later, Jack realised he was ready to marry Molly, and hopefully have a child or two a little later down the line, when he could afford to put a proper roof over his familiy's head. He might not have minded living in an open field, but he didn't want his wife and children to.

Building Relationships

John decides to move his 'house' closer to the road.
Yes he is lazy!

That same evening he invites Molly around to ask her an important question.

To which she says yes to!
Molly and her teenage daughter Sandi, move in to John's 'house'

Later, John and Molly share their love for one another.
As John discovered when Molly moved in, that she was a lot older than he though she was, and her biological clock was nopt ticking away, more of a case of the alarm was about to go off.
She just had a few days before she became an elder.
So with time against him, he had to make a crucial decision.
Break up with Molly now, and waste many hours of trying to get Molly to move in on the first place, and turn his attentions back to River, or to bite the bullet and get Molly pregnant as soon as possible?

Whatever his decision, it wasn't happening tonight, not with having to share a 'room' with Sandi.

With that in mind, it was time to start building a proper home.
The first foundation was put in to place.

With the §2,000 that Molly brought in, John made a start on the rest of the house after obtaining some blueprints for his perfect home.

After spending as much as he could after the first day of building he had managed to build two bedrooms and a temporary bathroom/kitchen combo.

John decides that Molly is the one for him, and he propeses to her promptly.

And of course she says yes!
But then she has to rush off to work!

John spends the rest of the evening with Sandi.

But as soon as Molly returns from work, they get married.

In the bathroom/kitchen combo.

Kiss!
