Make Overs

After John's promotion, it was decided to spend the money on painting and decorating the house.
They started with the master bedroom. After managing to find wallpaper that matched the bedsheets and laying down a carpet, they also put in a couple of windows to let the natural light in.

Then they added a breakfast bar and small round table to the kitchen area, along with a few windows, so they could enjoy the view.

Then they added a couple of sofa's in the reading room.

The house was really taking shape now, and was starting to look more like a home, rather than some kind of mess.

A few days later and they could afford to decorate the rest of the house too.
They decided on a lovely deep red for the main bodies of the house.

Finally Rose was given a proper little girl's room also.
Along with a decent bath and decorated bathroom.

Sandi's room was also painted, in the style that she wanted.
Along with the reading room getting a makeover so that it was all matched up.

Time was really flying by.
Today was Sandi's last day of school. It only seemed like yesterday that John met her and her mother at the library that day, when Sandi was just a toddler.

When Sandi returned home from school, with excellant grades she was surprised to find a birthday cake with her name on it.

A brilliant white flash beamed from Sandi's body as she came of age.

Though when she aged, she didn't feel much difference, nor did she look any different.
As a birthday present from her Mother and John, she went in to town for a make over!

Well, well, well, look who's shown up, it's River!
Could John be trying to get close to her again for when the inevitable happens when Molly dies?

Later that evening, John finishes off decorating by adding tiles to the en-suite bathroom, painting the dressing room, decorating the guest toilet and turning that extra little room in to a very small skills room.

Whilst Rose sleeps in her newly painted bedroom, complete with a lovely picture handcrafted by her mother.

Meanwhile, Sandi returns home from getting a make over!

And she picks her lifetime wish, to be a rock star!
That explains the new look then.

Her mother wasn't very happy with her new look though, and she tried to get John to have a word with her, but John told Molly that he thought Sandi looked great, much better than the plain Jane she used to be!
Sandi laughed, as she knew John would be on her side, he was closer to her age than her mother's afterall. He would understand!

Sandi decides it's time to start looking for Mr. Right. Though I don't think the housekeeper is that person. Especially as he is a neat freak and Sandi is a slob!

John's house is almost complete now, with just a bit more brickwork to be added on to the outside!

With such a great view, John will never want to leave this place.
Though an extension or two might be needed a little more down the line, nothing else needs to be done to the house at the moment.

Molly still loves to dance, though she won't be able to pull off those kind of moves anymore, she still gives it a good try.
